Course Aim
The Programme
This 1 day programme has been designed to help the excavation operatives to avoid danger from underground services while carrying out their daily work routine. The programme will meet the needs of the company, the client and the Health & Safety Executive.
Safe digging practices has been identified as a core skill that all employees who carry out excavating work as part of their general work routine require. For example, those requiring training are Operatives, HSEQ Advisors, Managers, compliance Officers, Supervisors, Auditors and Authorising Engineers.

Aims & Objectives
At the end of this programme, the delegates will be able to:- Understand the main aims of HSG47
- Read safe dig drawings
- Use the Cable Avoidance Tool (C.A.T) & Genny in all three modes
- Be able to apply the main parts to the safe digging practice
